Welcome to the Partner Development Manual, the second manual in Partner’s development manual set.

The goal of this manual is for you to learn and understand the Partner Platform in detail, including:

  • system architecture,
  • important frameworks and subsystems,
  • scripting and coding,
  • configuration and customization, and
  • Partner development processes and resources.

We hope it will provide you with a depth of knowledge about our software.

This is a large work, and we do not assume it will be read front-to-back. There is an overall order but we have designed it so that it can be skimmed and sections consulted when needed.

Generally sections will address specific subsystems - a framework, module, library, or similar part of the whole.

It is a work in progress and should be treated as such. There is an enormous amount of material still to be written or ported from other documentation. By necessity we must take an incremental improvement approach - after all, any amount of documentation is better than none at all.

It is highly recommended that you read and understand the Introduction to Partner Development before using this manual. The Introduction provides both a high-level overview and low-level tutorial exercises to help you get a sense of the Partner Platform and its potential.

At the other end of the spectrum, the Partner Development Reference provides fine-grained details about the platform and its API.
